My experience in Qatar
Been here for 3 short years, my job requires me to deal with
Qatari nationals, Indian, Pakistani, Bangali, African or even European nationals on a day to day basis.
The most noticeable aspect when I meet any Qatari be it top
management who just drove a Lambo or Ferrari to work or a mid-level
manager is their sincere humility which I hope they know, is a quality
lacking among the majority of humans across the globe, and is their biggest
asset.
I have worked in a neighboring country and started at scratch
several years ago as a lowly migrant engineer from the sub-continent and I know
for a fact a lot about different nationalities especially in the GCC and trust
me I have had some really weird, racist and negative experiences, but I don't
want to go deeper in that matter.
With Indian Ambassador Mr. P. Kumaran
This is in no way trying to suck it up cause I live here
currently but purely based on my limited interactions with the Qatari brethren
which has so far never been a negative experience even at times when we
make some accident of cars by mistake :) or even when a businessman's deals
didn’t work the way wished, they would always wish you the best.
I have hardly have ever witnessed any kind of holier than thou
attitude considering they are the citizens of such a rich country, they treat
you as human and for me personally I have been treated fair and square and I
hope the same values and traditions that they currently have is bestowed upon
their future generations.
I have zero complaints living out here with my family & friends, well but
two wish they would stop flashing their head lights on me every night, and even
after six years I dread summers :)
I have found Qatar has broad potential and big opportunity for
newly arrived people or for startup businessman in Qatar.
Qatar is doing their best to improve their all public facilities
and widening their wings for more development and opportunities.
I am looking forward for FIFA World Cup 2022 with full of energy
:)
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be the 22nd edition of
the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship
contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is
scheduled to take place in Qatar in 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever
to be held in the Middle East, and in an Arab and a majority-Muslim country.
This tournament will be the last to involve 32 teams, with an increase to 48
teams scheduled from the 2026 tournament.
All the best #Qatar
